TC Update/Announcements- January 2017

Hello friends,
Happy New Year!  We hope you all enjoyed time with family and friends over Christmas and New Years.  For Stacey and I, this was the first time that our family has ever been able to spend Christmas and New Year’s with family in the states.  It was great getting to hang out, play cards, and eat some tastey food together with family.   And it was special to see our kids get to be with their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for the holiday.  We are super thankful to have had that time with family.  But now we’re back… ready and expectant for whatever the Lord has for Tamarindo Church in the new year.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Looking back on December, Tamarindo Church was packed out  as we gathered to celebrate Christmas Eve together.  The kids performance was a hit as always.  And for the first time, we included a candle lighting ceremeony… representing the light of Christ shining into the darkness when he came into our world.
We’d like to say thanks to all who helped with hospitality, set up, and break down for the event…. and a special thanks to Steph and Keilyn for working with the kids on the kids performance.  To see a video of the kids performance on Facebook CLICK HERE
SAILING DAY
Another highlight in December was our sailing day aboard the Marlin del Rey.  It was a beautiful day out in creation… enjoying time with church family.  And as usual… we were blessed with an amazing sunset as we sailed back into Tamarindo bay.
2017 Annual Pledge Drive Update
Thanks again to you to all of you who have already made your pledges for 2017.  We want to let you know that we have now reached $50,000 toward our goal of $70,000.  While we haven’t reached our goal yet, we are trusting that God will provide the $20,000 needed as the year unfolds.
As we enter this new year, we pray God’s grace and blessings for you and your loved ones. Thank you for your prayers and for the many ways you support the life and ministry of Tamarindo Church.
We hope to see you at church on Sunday!“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:18-19
Peace,
Lyle & Stacey

Please continue to pray for……
VISION
that God would guide us in our vision and strategy for reaching and serving our community.

MINISTRY TEAM
Thanks to God for our staff and volounteers who serve in many roles in the church.  Please pray that God would continue build a sense of unity and family among our core church members.

FINANCES
Please pray to our Father that he would meet our needs in the coming year through pledges and regular supporters!  We are $20,000 short in pledges, but trusting God will meet our needs as the year unfolds.

OUTREACH
That God would create a spiritual hunger in our community, and that we would see many come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.  Please pray that our church members would be salt and light in the community to those who are not saved.

CHURCH PROPERTY
We are VERY grateful for the donations that have been made so toward the property purchase and construction of a church and children’s ministry area.  Please continue in prayer with us:  1.  In thanks to God that he has given us an opportunity to secure a lot for a great price at a great location.  2. That the property would be freed from the lien against it.  3. If for some reason this is not the property God would have for us, that he would direct us to another property.  4.  God would continue to meet our financial needs for this project.

LYLE & STACEY
-For spiritual wisdom and direction as we lead the church.
– For Stacey’s job in real-estate… that she would find balance between family, ministry and work.  And that she would make enough to cover our children’s school tuition.

OUR FAMILY
For meaningful times together and healthy balance between family and ministry.

SPIRITUAL PROTECTION
Prayer of spiritual protection over our family and our church Ministry Teams…. guarding us from anything that causes dis-unity and divisiveness.
