November was a busy month here at Tamarindo Church. This is the time of year that many of our seasonal residents and church visitors come down… so church has been pretty packed lately. It’s alway great having you all here to worship with us. Thanks for dropping in to say hi and to catch up with us.
Marriage Getaway Weekend
One of the big events in November was our first ever Marriage Getaway Weekend, which was a great success. We had over 20 couples in attendance, and a fun and meaningful time was had by all. There were delicious meals, fun activities, and the teachings were very practical for enhancing our marriages. A special thank you to David and Terri Sumlin and to Connie & Kevin Bailey for blessing our community and our marriages.
In addition to the Marriage Weekend, Tamarindo Church also celebrated our annual Thanksgiving Gathering at the church. Everyone pitched in by bringing many tasty desserts and side dishes…. and MAN was that some good turkey! A special thanks to Alex, the Smith family, and the Page family for the extra help with set up.
2016 Pledge Drive
Thank you to all of you who have already responded with your pledges for 2016. From our Stateside Partners, $25,700 has already been pledged toward our goal of $52,000. We are half way there! If you haven’t made your pledge already, please let us know in December.
From our local giving goal of $35,000, we have had $6,000 pledged. We know that much of the local giving comes from weekly offerings at church that are un-pledged amounts… but if you are able to pledge a specific amount, this would helpful for us to know what we are working with financially for the coming year. Thank you!!
Be sure to continue reading the announcements below as we have a couple of events coming up on the calendar that you won’t want to miss. These include our..
Thank you everyone for all of the ways you contribute to the life of Tamarindo Church. We hope you enjoy a fun and meaningful Christmas season with family and friends.
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Youth Group for students Grades 6-12
Being a young adult is not an easy road. Life is hard, choices are many and challenging, and we want to create a space where teens and pre-teens can come together to encourage and support each other and where we can help point them to the true love of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:38-39
We usually meet bi-weekly during the traditional north American school year to have fun, play games, eat food and grow together in our knowledge of Christ and his love for us.
Our meetings in December will be as follows
