TC Nicaragua Mission Trip – January 26-30, 2015

Did you know that the second poorest country in the Western hemisphere (second to Haiti) is just north of Costa Rica? That’s right… Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the Western Nicaragua-maphemisphere. With such a deep need so close to us, Tamarindo Church heads up to Nicaragua at least once a year to help the poor there.   1. GO WITH OUR TEAM

On January 26th- January 30th Tamarindo Church will be heading up to Nicaragua to serve the poor. Why not come with us??  Cost will be $325/person which will include all transportation, food, and lodging. On this trip we will be building 4 homes, distributing food to 300+families, and serving at a local feeding center that feeds 200 kids/day.  If you are interested in joining us or would like to know more about the trip, please contact Pastor Lyle at lyletamarindo@gmail.com.  Space is limited, so get in touch with us soon!

  1. GIVE FINANCIALLY

Maybe you are not able to go but would like to contribute financially. Make a donation toward the cost of

  • 1 of 4 house we plan to build($750/house)
  • 1 months food supply for the feeding Center ($400)
  • 350 bags of food for distribution to the poor ($3,500)
  • 1 scholarship for a person to go on the trip in your place ($325)

  1. CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS

If you have any shoes or clothes that you have grown out of… or that have grown out of style for you, we know some folks who can use them. Please donate only clothes that are in good condition by bringing them by church on Sundays.

NICARAGUA MISSIONS

Right now we’ve got a mission trip to Nicaragua on the radar for January 2015.

At this point our plans are to visit the neighborhood of Heullas de Jesus in Tipitapa,Nicaragua.  We’ve been up there before and there is plenty of need to be met.  At this point, our goals on this trip will be to build 4 houses, provide one bunk bed for each house, and to help feed about 200 kids lunch for several days.

To finance these projects we will need about

  • 4 houses~ $3,500
  • 4 bunk beds~ $260
  • Feeding kids~ $400
  • 350 Food Bags for Families $3,500

We are also receiving donations of other items to bring to the poor in Nicaragua including:

Toothbrushes, clothes, school supplies
