TC Update/Announcements- August 2016

Hey friends,
As we approach the end of the summer months, it is great to have everyone coming back to Costa Rica and back at church.  While it is great to travel and visit with friends and family… we are so thankful for church family we have here!   As we look ahead to the next couple of months, there are a lot of announcements… so be sure to read below and mark your calendars.  But before we do that, here are couple of highlights from the past month….La Cumbre Camp-
La Cumbre Camp is a youth camp located high in the mountains of Costa Rica where it actually gets surprisingly cold for being in Central America.  This was Tamarindo Church’s first time attending the camp, and due to conflicting summer schedules, we only had three youth from Tamarindo Church attend.  But regardless, the trip was awesome… and it gave us a great chance to check out what the camp was about.  During our time there we heard messages on Humility, Truth, Faith and Love, and I (Lyle) had the responsibility of leading a group eleven teenagers in bible studies and discussion groups during the three days we were there.  The camp was awesome… and we are hoping to return again next summer with a group of our TC kids.  For those of you who are early planners… the camp is for kids 9-18 yrs old, and it will be held on the first or second week of July 2017.Farewell to the Smiths

Last Sunday, we said farewell to Smith family who have been with us for the past three years at Tamarindo Church.  Derrick, Angeline, John, Miriam & Samuel have been a great blessing to us during their time in Costa Rica.  In addition to being good friends to many, this family has served behind the scenes in our church in many, many ways.   We will miss your kindness, generosity, hospitality and friendship.  Blessings to you in your new adventure!!

Thank you again to all of you who contribute to the life and ministry of Tamarindo Church in so many ways. We hope to see you next Sunday!

Peace,
Lyle & Stacey
