Hey Friends,
High season for tourism is in full swing down here in Tamarindo, and it’s been great having our annual visitors with us as well as many new faces at church on Sundays. During our February Pizza Fellowship gathering this past month, we had more people attend than ever… as evidenced by the record number of 30 pizzas that we ate! Wow! Good fun, good food, good fellowship.
NICARAGUA MISSION TRIP
But the biggest highlight of this past month was of course… the Nicaragua Mission trip. Thank you for your prayers… it was another blessed and fruitful time of serving our brothers and sisters up in Nicaragua. During our trip to Nicaragua we spent two days painting two classrooms, and on one of
the days… we took about 22 students on a field trip to see and experience activities they would otherwise not get to experience. Sharing experiences like this outside of their everyday life is important for giving them vision and ambition for a life beyond their world of poverty. During the field trip, the students got to see into the mouth of a volcano, visit the zoo, play at a “dinosaur park”, and to go out to lunch for pizza and fried chicken. And for those of us who have sponsored children at the school, we were blessed with the opportunity to take our sponsored child/children with us on the outing.
A special bonus on this trip is that we had two ladies on our team who have talent for teaching dance and cutting hair. So, during our time of painting, these ladies were able to give free haircuts to students and staff… and to teach dance to a few of the girls. So fun to see the smiles on the faces of those kids, and to see all that
Funda Cristo is doing to give them an opportunity for a better future. God is doing awesome things through Funda Cristo School, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with them in the work they are doing in Cristo Rey.
We’d also like to say thank you to those in our church who have reached out to help the family from Nicaragua that has recently fled Nicaragua to find safety. Your compassion and generosity have been a blessing to them. Thank you for being the church.
MARCH MISSION TEAM- HOUSTON’S FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
Next week, a mission team from Houston’s First Baptist Church (HFBC) will be visiting with us as they have been for the past several years. This year, HFBC will be partnering with Tamarindo Church by doing several work projects on the property, evangelizing in the local community, and serving with a local food bank. Be sure to reach out and make their team feel welcome.

May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart

And for spiritual protection over our family. SPIRITUAL PROTECTION Please pray spiritual protection over our church and our Ministry Teams…. guarding us from spiritual attack and oppression, and anything that causes disunity and divisiveness in the body of faith at Tamarindo Church. |
